Mental Health Practitioner – Bemidji

Lake Country Associates is seeking a full-time or part-time Mental Health Practitioner for its Bemidji ARMHS Program. A Mental Health Practitioner provides a variety of rehabilitation services and skills training to clients experiencing serious and persistent mental illness. These services are based in the community, are flexible and are scheduled around the staff and client’s availability. Mental Health Practitioners work in coordination with a Mental Health Professional and county case managers to teach rehabilitative skills needed to avoid hospitalization and maintain people’s independence in the community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must meet the requirements of a Mental Health Practitioner either A, B, or C:

A. Holds a bachelor’s degree or has completed at least 30 semester credits or 45 quarter credits in behavioral sciences or related fields;

AND:

  • Has completed a practicum or internship that (1) required direct interaction with adults or children served, and (2) focused on behavioral sciences or related fields; OR * Has at least 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to persons with mental illness, substance use disorder, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities.

B. Has at least 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to persons with mental illness, substance use disorder, emotional disturbance, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities.

C. Holds a master’s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.

Must pass BCA criminal background check.
