Da'Nel Chase

Da’Nel Chase, MS, LPCC, RPT-S is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with over 20 years of experience. Specializing in therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Da’Nel holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and earned her Master of Science degree from St. Cloud State University. Additionally, she pursued a doctorate in psychology from Capella University, completing all requirements except her dissertation.

Da’Nel provides counseling services at the Park Rapids office, particularly focusing on children and teenagers. She is a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S) recognized by the American Association for Play Therapy, showcasing her expertise in utilizing play therapy techniques to address various emotional and behavioral challenges in children.

Da’Nel is also a TraumaPlay Certified Therapist, having received specialized training in this approach developed by Paris Goodyear-Brown. TraumaPlay is a therapeutic model designed to address trauma-related issues in children through play therapy. This innovative approach, rooted in the latest research on trauma and attachment, allows Da’Nel to provide effective and compassionate support to children dealing with trauma. Additionally, she is a Certified Shame-Informed Treatment Specialist (CSTS) in Eating Disorders, Addictive Eating, and Body Shame.

Da’Nel has also received specialized training in experiential play therapy and mindfulness-based play-family therapy. She is trained in and has experience conducting Early Childhood Mental Health Assessments. Her areas of interest encompass a wide range, including play therapy for children aged 3 and up, individual and family therapy for issues such as trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, ADHD/ADD, adjustment disorders, parenting concerns, and relational struggles.
