These services are based in the community and may be delivered also in the office or in the client’s home. ARMHS workers work in coordination with the mental health professional and county case managers to provide appropriate basic living and social skills care and mental health rehabilitative services to their clients. The goals of these services are activities that restore client’s skill essentials for managing his or her illness, treatment and the requirements of every day independent living. ARMHS services are rehabilitative and enable the recipient to develop and enhance psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal and emotional adjustment, independent living and community skills when these abilities are impaired by the symptoms of mental illness. ARMHS may be provided to retain stability and functioning if the recipient is or would be at risk of significant functional decompensation or more restrictive settings without these services.
